The Pine Wyatt site is up!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the day you have all been waiting for is here. The Pine Wyatt website is up. It has our entire album, Escort Me To Jason, in mp3 format on it.

Yeah, it needs some work, I know. I will have more pictures and songs up soon.

Reubens Accomplice sample tracks online

The Reubens Accomplice web site has some sample tracks from the upcoming album. Check them out. Then click on the Pre-Order link and buy the album from Stinkweeds before it comes out.

Then email me a picture of yourself with something stupid on your head. Here's the email address. Do as I say!

some responses to the "What should I do with this site" question

This seemed to be a popular theme:
....girls. naked ones. young naked ones. and bob mould.
- John Fogarty

Concerning the Real Diffs Deluxe page:
I would not change a thing on this website. It may be the most technically complex and original site EVER!!!! A true throwback to the early years of the internet. You might want to remove the mp3 as it ruins that vintage internet feel that the website is dressed with.
- Seth

Some people had real ideas (and like to call me sporty):
an about page
a privacy policy
integrated google search
ssl secure data socket for ordering and credit card processing
a terms of use page
a pay pal donation link
a link bar, for such things as:
http://www.booble.com
http://fun.from.hell.pl/2003-11-24/bubblewrap.swf
http://meph.eu.org/
http://milked.free.fr/animated/malaxage1.swf (not for the children (or most women))
http://www.pumbo.com/go.php?id=1620
get to work sporty
-Dan

I certainly like the PayPal donation link idea.
And then, of course, we have the really serious ideas:

You need a page for Captain Cheese. Why don't you have a page for Captain Cheese?
- John H.

Thank you everyone. I will get to work immediately.

the next The Ballad Of show has been canceled

The February 12th The Ballad Of show has been canceled. I just received this email:

Noone Cancels Ballad of Performance

Phoenix, AZ 1/30/2004

After years in obscurity former Herman's Hermit frontman Peter Noone made
the shocking announcement this morning that local desert noir quartet The
Ballad Of's scheduled Brickhouse performance has been canceled. Asked for
comment, the unimportant pop icon said, "something tells me I'm into
something good."

"Henry the eighth I am, I am," added Noone.

I'm never drinking again

I went and saw Jimmy Eat World play last night. They sounded good. I like their new songs. Gil Norton is recording their new album, which is a good thing. That guy has done a ton of good records (Pixies!). You should be excited.

I somehow ended up in the "VIP area" at the show where they had free drinks. Really strong free drinks. I spent quite a while in the IHOP bathroom later in the night. And guess how I've felt all day today?

I must now go and take some mics to John Hoffman's house. He's recording some drums with the new band tonight. I'll give you the dirt on it when I get back.

pssst... I need to ask you something

Hello everyone. I have a question: What would you like to see on ironlemon?

I need some ideas. I'm planning on putting up an Aquanaut Drinks Coffee page and a Pine Wyatt page to round out the "bands I'm in or have been in" section. I'll probably come up with some more music oriented pages too.

What else? Any ideas for changes?

Email me your answers, please. Good answers will get posted on the site. Bad answers might get posted too. If I don't get any answers (likely) then I will make up fake ones and post them.

a new logo

Dan has created a new logo for the ironlemon. It is very nice, don't you agree?

I've also been screwing around with the colors on ironlemon. They will probably keep changing for the next couple days, until I get it right.

This website has been stolen!!

Tragedy has struck! The Ballad Of has stolen the ironlemon layout! I guess that's what I get for creating such an amazing piece of art. If you consider a slightly modified blogger template to be a piece of art, that is.

a letter

I received this letter this morning:

Mr. Lemon,

As you can probably imagine, being back at work pales in comparison to experience of a rock and roll recording session in the snowy pines. It actually kind of sucks. If you could see your fit to send me some of the pictures documenting this past weekend's experience, I would be much obliged.

Love,
A Member of The Ballad Of

I forgot that I have the pictures from this weekend. As it is dangerous to show the inner workings of a rock band to the general populous, you will only see them after I take out all pictures of myself.

a pretty new lemon and a show

Thanks to Daniel Kraig for making the new lemon picture. It is a drastic improvement over the old one.

Reubens Accomplice has a show! February 10th at the Clubhouse with Nada Surf.

mission successful

We'll, I'm back. The Ballad Of recording session went quite well. We still have more tracking to do, so you won't get to hear anything for a couple more weeks.

Stay tuned for some better looking art on the ironlemon. Dan has some pretty impressive stuff on the way.

music stuff that's going on, involving me

The Ballad Of is recording this weekend, in a secret location just south of Flagstaff. It should come out fairly well, I will fill you the reader in on the happenings after I get back.

The Reubens Accomplice record is coming out on March 16. That's almost two months away. I don't like thinking about things that far into the future. I think there will soon be a few of the tracks from the album on the either the Reubens website or the Western Tread website. I could be wrong though. Don't hold me to it.

Improvement

Ok, it's getting better. Better colors. And the Real Diffs Deluxe site is up.

I'm pretty sure no one has looked at this site except me yet. I don't know who I'm trying to fool. Oh well. I guess that I'm entertained, and that's good enough for me.

ironlemon will soon be better than this

I know, this website sucks. It's just a pre-made blogger page with bad colors and two links.

It will be different soon. I'll make it better. Don't cry.

Tea at L1

For some reason the subject of Lagrange points keeps coming up for me in normal conversion. I've heard/seen them casually referenced on the news, different web sites and even from drunk non-science dudes just hanging out. I like it.

Is is possible to buy non-terrestrial real estate? Will you ever hear someone say "Hey Frank, I just bought 35 cubic acres out at L4. I got a great deal." I suppose that would be like buying a chunk of ocean deep underwater or a piece of airspace.

I'll have to do some research on this.
