it's getting bigger

The "List of shows that have already transpired" is getting quite large. And I have some other good sources available that I have yet to pilfer... this thing might actually get somewhat close to complete. I invite you now to experience the glory that is this list that I speak of by clicking on either the link in this paragraph or the one to the left.

That is clearly too many bands and too many shows for a human being, you have confirmed my suspicions, you are not human. Tell us, what planet to you hail from?

Ryan Kennedy: the musician, the robot, the god of this and every universe that be.

I think you guys have me confused with someone else.

Don't forget Aquanaut on July 5th 1994 in that fucker Pat Toney's living room and again Pine Wyatt the Friday after Thanksgiving 1994 again in that ass munch, Pat Toney's living room

They are now on the list.

You have a good memory. Got any more?

Live in the ass munch's living room? Sounds like an Aquanaut Release to me.

impressive.

so did anyone hook up with one of the donnas or what?

not me

just so you know, our den was covered in pine wyatt and aquanaut stuff yesterday....the silence was punctuated by hysterical giggles... coming from pete as he uncovered treasure after treasure of musical genius. our favorite was the picture taken of ryan as he was swinging on a beam and let go just as the pic was taken. there's something about the way his hair billowed just so....

hey what about the larry and the weapons shows with swim team uk back in 1998? are they on there?? :)

i also need some expert feedback in my jay farrar-vs-jeff tweedy debate with my boyfriend (i prefer tweedy, he's a farrar. thankfully, he's the only person i've met besides you all who loves uncle tupelo. yay.). please comment on this post: http://allhopeisnotlost.blogspot.com/2005/12/torrential-rains-and-lingering-colds.html

thank you for your support.

i don't think they're comparable anymore

Not comparable? How so? I know it's old news and all, but it's so much fun to debate about shit that doesn't matter anymore.

Jay Farrar won the first battle back in 1995, Tweedy droped the a-bomb with Being There. Farrar signed the peace treaty and Tweedy went on to defeat Communism.

I don't understand who you guys are talking about...

the most importing thing happening in the known universe

I really have wasted quite a bit of time on this old show list... It's starting to make me kind of crazy. Not that I consider myself sane, it just... that ... I must complete it. It must be perfect. And it must happen right NOW THERE IS NO TIME LEFT HURRY HURRY

I'm going to add a way for you to put comments on each of the shows. I'll let you know when it's ready.

Thank you to everyone who has been sending me old posters and other information.

Yes, house parties do count as shows. Bring 'em on.

Trying to place these shows on actual dates is a wonderful way to test your mind's remaining memory function. Usually it starts with something like "Oh yeah, Aquanaut Drinks Coffee played at Boston's with Rancid. When the hell was that again? Nineteen-Ninety what?" Then the detective inside you awakens and says to yourself "They threw bagels out to the crowd... was that when Larry still worked at Chompies?" Then you realize "Shit... I don't remember anything before February 2002."

Is it as a Tanning Butler?

the old show list

The list of old shows is now online. Click on the "shows that have already transpired" link on the left. It is woefully incomplete... please help.

So then...

Today is the day that Reubens Accomplice plays at Stinkweeds in Tempe, along with the Necronauts, Before Braille, Asleep in the Sea, Reindeer Tiger Team, Fatigo, Dead Science and Sweet Bleeders. I believe we play sometime around 7pm. Kimber says she bought quite a bit of food, you should come eat it.

I just searched google for every one of the previously mentioned band's web pages... am I suppose to link to people's myspace pages or the real web sites? Myspace is fucking up the internet. Sorry if I linked to the wrong one. Actually, no, I'm not sorry.

Pete is coming over tonight after the show. Yes, the Pete from Aquanaut Drinks Coffee and Pine Wyatt. He moved from Minneapolis to San Diego, so it's much easier for him to come and visit and he has taken advantage of that fact. Look out! There just might be some new Aquanaut Drinks Coffee material with the full original lineup coming your way.

last night's show

Thanks to those who came to The Threads show last night, it was fun. Sloppy, but fun.

Reubens Accomplice (sans John) will be playing in the Stinkweeds parking lot on Saturday afternoon. It's a BBQ with lots of other nice bands. Come eat a veggie burger.

cancelled

It seems that the Grand Cayenne music festival has been cancelled. No rock for you.

Ug. Thinking about the current state of the music scene in the Phoenix metro area makes me sick to my stomach.

Here's a link to the poster of the show that isn't happening because there aren't 2000 people out of the 4,000,000 that live here that would pay $22 to go see it so it could break even.

people don't want to listen to rock, they want to smoke it.

sad, just sad.

new shows, new songs

Thank you for your lists, they were all very informative and will be put to good use.

I'm playing with The Threads on the 22nd at Hollywood Alley. Please come. I'm also playing with Go Big Casino on the 19th, at the same festival that Reubens Accomplice is playing at. I'm not sure how to put that on the show list on the right... hmmmmm...

Larry has sent me some wonderful new Aquanaut Drinks Coffee songs to put up on the website. These are some good ones, you'll like 'em. I might try to add some parts to some of the songs before I put them up, but I haven't told Larry about that yet. Shhhhh! It's a secret.

has the import selection at tops become terribly pedestrian? have you purchased every sportcoat and scarf from buffalo exchange? have spit out out cappucinos across tempe and exclaimed "cat piss!"? do you love the smell of deisel in the morning?

I did buy an electric tea kettle yesterday...

i'm always confused when you say show list on the right.... on my screen it's on the left. do you mean your other right? or is your screen backwards?

oh yeah, I was looking at it upside down, sorry.

lemon - how can i post a pic? i think we can go to an all new level with pics
