what's happening
Here's the current happenings on the music front:
The Threads are recording. This is really going to be it, the first official album. Right now I'm pretty far behind, I have to record lots of guitar and piano and string bass.
Reubens Accomplice is recording. We are almost done with the demos, which sound better than many a professionally recorded record. Look for the new album early next year.
The Real Diffs Deluxe are recording/rehearsing/contemplating the 3rd album. This one is still in the early stages, but progressing rapidly.
I've been spending a lot of time practicing ragtime piano as well. You should be especially excited about this. I know I am.(3) comments [+/-] show/hide the comments

I will be in Missouri next week, hiding from you. I might also be in Arkansas. I'll let you know.

text message ironlemon
There is some exciting new technology available from ironlemon. Try this out:
Send a text message, from your mobile phone, to 41411.
In the body of the text message write "ironlemon" (without the quotes).
You will be sent back a list of shows. At the time of this writing that list is empty, which makes this technology seem very boring.
I will not pay for your text messages for you. Don't use it if you have to pay for text messaging. Good day.(1) comments [+/-] show/hide the comments

a show, vote for the right guy
I'm playing bass with Monique Reagan at a show raising support for Harry Mitchell for Congress. Jimmy Eat World and The Format are also playing.
Harry Mitchell is J.D. Hayworth's opponent for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. It is very important that you vote for Harry Mitchell and not J.D. Hayworth. J.D. Hayworth is scary and bad.(8) comments [+/-] show/hide the comments

Wish I could be there, J.D. Hayworth is the fattest bag of wind I can think of. Good Luck Monique...oh so full of grace. By the way, dirtbag, I'm comming home Dec. 27th til Jan 10th let us drink together on one of those nights.
Isn't he the same guy who had a bag of weed fall out of his pocket while he was on helicopter visiting a school. Or maybe I am thinking of some other arizona weatherman. I remeber this happening when I was in gradeschool, but maybe it was a different weatherman.
Was JD Hayworth a weatherman? I thought he was a sportscaster. It doesn't really matter, he's a douche nonetheless.
sportscaster. i met jd hayworth and got his autograph while he was covering a football game around 1985 i think. fond memories.
oh i think it was jerry foster with the bag of weed in the helicopter. but my favorite weatherman would have to be dewey hopper.

Exeter Enterprises
I am no longer in either Flagstaff or California. I'm in Arizona, sitting in my office at Exeter Enterprises. Exeter Enterprises is the headquarters for both ironlemon and ironlime software (my software company), as well as Heshin Desert Fort and Exeter Enterprises Nighttime Entertainment Services (EENES, pronounced ee-nis). EENES provides DJ entertainment for weddings and private parties, and also performs Sunday nights at the Yucca Tap Room in Tempe. DJ Dana spearheads this department.
I am planning on joining the EENES team soon, playing ragtime piano.(3) comments [+/-] show/hide the comments

EENES is proud to offer a wide variety of entertainment for all of the special events in your life. Let your guests know how important the occasion is by presenting them with 70's country records or live ragtime piano. They'll thank you for it.

I'm in Flagstaff
I've decided to edit this post and remove the vulgar and crass message it previously contained. For posterity sake, here's the original text of this post:
"so eat it"
After further review, the staff here at ironlemon has determined that that phrase did not accurately represent what was actually meant to be said, which we believe was more along the lines of "I don't feel like writing anything right now."
Sorry for the confusion.(2) comments [+/-] show/hide the comments
